About
Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. is a national non-profit educational, humanitarian organization resulting from the inspiration received by Lady Ozell Dean, following a luncheon meeting with Mrs. Lady Bird Johnson in 1964. The organization’s major objectives are Top Teens of America, Status of Women, Senior Citizens, Community Beautification and Community Partnerships. All chapters support the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), United Negro College Fund (UNCF), and the awarding of local, Area and National scholarships. Our motto is, “Serving Youth and Adults”

A letter from the President
Greetings,
As a former member of Top Teens, the experiences and knowledge obtained during that time was invaluable and still stays with me today. As a team, we can pass these experiences on to our current teens and future teens. Never would I have thought, I would serve as Chapter President of such a prestigious organization. It is my honor and pleasure to serve as your Chapter President for the 2023-2024 service year.

For the past few years, this chapter has survived major challenges such as Hurricane Harvey and the Covid-19 pandemic, now it is time to THRIVE after the storm. My goal is to bring TLOD back to the forefront in the community. As a chapter, we will strive for greatness and work towards being a 5-Star Chapter!

We will continue to develop our presence in the community through programs under our five programmatic thrusts beginning with our Teens. Your volunteerism, support, time, energy, and talents are valued.

I commit myself to serve alongside you to take our chapter to the next level. I ask that you commit as well to get us there. I am humbled to be elected as your Chapter President. It’s T.H.R.I.V.E. TIME!

A letter from the 1st Vice President
Greetings,
​
I have been a member of this chapter for several years and have personally experienced some of the challenges we have been through. I am elated to serve as your 1st Vice President for the 2023-2025 service year and I am excited about the opportunity and new direction we are about to take.
​
As a former Top Teen, one of my goals is to help develop mentorship and guidance with our #1 Thrust, our Top Teens. I am excited about the opportunity to work closer with the Teens and help them grow and develop into successful young adults. It is important to share the experiences and values that I received while a part of the Top Teens with our current Teens.
​
I look forward to our chapter becoming more present and active within the community. During these next two years, my hope is that we can become more unified and develop a stronger sisterhood amongst each other.
